Email Changes
Due to server upgrades, it is necessary to update your email settings. We will highlight these simple changes below. If you cannot follow these steps, please feel free to contact us on the normal ofice number: 02392 610123
Office Outlook 2003
1. Open Outlook 2003
2. Click Tools from the top toolbar
3. Click E-mail Accounts (Click two downward arrows if not visible)
4. Leave "View or change existing e-mail accounts" selected
5. Press Next
6. Double click the account to be changed
7. in "Incoming mail server" - change to mail.domain - where domain is your domain name - ie, for james@carrera-uk.com I would put mail.carrera-uk.com
8. in "Outgoing mail server" - change to mail.domain - where domain is your domain name - ie, for james@carrera-uk.com I would put mail.carrera-uk.com
9. Press "More Settings"
10. Press "Outgoing Server" Tab
11. Ensure "My outgoing server requres authentication" is ticked
12. Select "Use same settings as my incoming server"
13. Press "Ok"
14. Press "Next"
15. Repeat Process for all required mail accounts
16. Press "Finish" to Finish!
Office Outlook 2007
1. Open Outlook 2007
2. Click Tools from the top toolbar
3. Click Accounts Settings (Click two downward arrows if not visible)
4. Double click the account to be changed
5. in "Incoming mail server" - change to mail.domain - where domain is your domain name - ie, for james@carrera-uk.com I would put mail.carrera-uk.com
6. in "Outgoing mail server" - change to mail.domain - where domain is your domain name - ie, for james@carrera-uk.com I would put mail.carrera-uk.com
7. Press "More Settings"
8. Press "Outgoing Server" Tab
9. Ensure "My outgoing server requres authentication" is ticked
10. Select "Use same settings as my incoming server"
11. Press "Ok"
12. Press "Next"
13. Repeat Process for all required mail accounts
14. Press "Finish"
15. Press "Close" to Finish!
Windows Mail
1. Open Windows Mail
2. Click Tools from the top toolbar
3. Click Accounts (Click two downward arrows if not visible)
4. Double click the account to be changed
5. Click “Servers” Tab
6. in "Incoming mail server" - change to mail.domain - where domain is your domain name - ie, for james@carrera-uk.com I would put mail.carrera-uk.com
7. in "Outgoing mail server" - change to mail.domain - where domain is your domain name - ie, for james@carrera-uk.com I would put mail.carrera-uk.com
8. Ensure “My server reqires authentication” is checked
9. Click “”Settings”
10. Press "Outgoing Server" Tab
11. Ensure "My outgoing server requres authentication" is ticked
12. Select "Use same settings as my incoming server"
13. Press "Ok"
14. Repeat Process for all required mail accounts
15. Press "Finish"
Outlook Express
16. Open Outlook Express
17. Click Tools from the top toolbar
18. Click Accounts (Click two downward arrows if not visible)
19. Double click the account to be changed
20. Click “Servers” Tab
21. in "Incoming mail server" - change to mail.domain - where domain is your domain name - ie, for james@carrera-uk.com I would put mail.carrera-uk.com
22. in "Outgoing mail server" - change to mail.domain - where domain is your domain name - ie, for james@carrera-uk.com I would put mail.carrera-uk.com
23. Ensure “My server requires authentication” is checked
24. Click “”Settings”
25. Press "Outgoing Server" Tab
26. Ensure "My outgoing server requires authentication" is ticked
27. Select "Use same settings as my incoming server"
28. Press "Ok"
29. Repeat Process for all required mail accounts
30. Press "Finish"
